Volunteer a helping paw, and a healing heart at our cat shelter

Looking for an animal/cat shelter volunteering opportunity? NatCat is always seeking happy volunteers to help us maintain healthy animals at our shelters.

Specifically, we need cat shelter volunteers to provide:

  • Plenty of TLC and socialization for the cats at each of our shelters
  • Assistance with special cleaning and decorating tasks throughout each shelter
  • Support at special events

To become a cat shelter volunteer at NatCat Newport Beach:

  1. Fill out our online application.
  2. Await a call from a NatCat staff member if they've approved your application to schedule a time for your volunteer orientation.
  3. Use our online appointment system to schedule a time to volunteer at the shelter.
  4. Bring proof of a tetanus shot before volunteering (you must have received it within the last five years).
  5. If you're under 18 years old, bring a parent or guardian with you when volunteering.
